A couple of items to add to the earlier post on DIY shock mounts. If rubber bands look too unprofessional for you, get some of the black bands used to hold pony tail hairdos in place. Available in various lengths and colors in the beauty products aisle.

A piece of plastic pipe 1/2” I.D. is about 3/4” O.D., just right for a regular mic clip to hold. Grab the shock mount in the mic clip, and put the mic in the shock mount.

As mentioned, a computer fan guard makes a good starting place for a frame.
